We are currently working on a bug where the site keeps reverting to an automated location, which can be wrong for some members (due to an incorrect location being provided by their ISP) If you are in this situation, please email support@dudesnude.com
The site has some location based services, such as the nearby page, searching by location, or the distances shown on a guys profile.
If you're on a mobile device, you probably already allow your web browser to use your location. You can test this by opening Google Maps, in your browser (NOT the Google Maps app) and checking it knows where you are.
On the account settings page you can chose to 'automatically set my location', which is the easiest option to use, especially on a mobile device. It will derive your location either from the GPS chip in your device, or if you are on a desktop or laptop, it will look up a location, provided by your ISP. Most (though not all!) internet providers set reasonably accurate locations. If you're on a desktop/laptop and not getting an accurate location, you will probably need to set a saved location manually instead (see below). These locations update automatically when you travel.
If you are using a VPN on a desktop or laptop, the automatic location option will be whatever you selected in your VPN software.
If you're not getting any location from GPS, and not getting asked if we can use it, you may have denied dudesnude access to your location at some point in the past. The easiest way to fix that is to delete the dudesnude cookie in your browser or just clear your browser history (you will be asked to log in again).
the manual location system needs some improvement, we are working on this.
To set a manual/saved location for the first time, click the 'set new location' button (instructions for selecting the location are on a separate help page).
Select either the saved or automatic location, and that will then be what is displayed on your profile
